Opportunities

Learning Through Reading, Writing, and Song

Reinforcing reading and writing skills through songwriting activities. Creating a binder of and recording of original songs. Focus on beginning reading skills-letter names, sounds, phonological awareness, spelling, blending, sight words with emergent readers. Developing descriptive writing, rhythm, repetition, vocabulary, and writing strategies with upper elementary students. This instructional opportunity can also include beginning folk guitar lessons.

Let’s Learn Through Song

Learning basic skills through singing, dancing and musical exploration. Creating a binder of songs to bring home each week to sing with family members and during independent reading times. The use of rhythm instruments, movement and voice are combined to create a unique learning experience which is built upon each week.

Let’s Learn to Play Guitar

We’ll focus on learning to play beginning folk guitar-creating a binder of songs to practice at home and have to share with family and friends. Lessons can be individual or small group.

Let’s Keep Learning

Tutoring available in all elementary educational areas. Helping to support current curriculum or enhance curriculum through extension activities.

Let’s Learn Together and Put Our Hearts Into It

We can explore forming a Book Club, a Songwriting/Singing Club or a Guitar Club with a few of your friends-we can meet weekly to talk about books, write songs, and share our thoughts and opinions with each other.
